Cindy Shaw

Originally trained as an architect, Cindy worked for many years on commercial and residential projects, as well as teaching Architecture, Engineering and Interior Design courses to college students. Additionally, she has served on the Board of Advisors for Gaston County Art Guild and for Western Piedmont Community College of Interior Design.  

After her husband’s career took them to rural Italy for 5 years, Cindy visited the local hardware store for supplies and began to paint. She enjoyed exploring the Italian countryside and capturing, “le viste piu belle!” Over the past decade, Cindy has continued to develop as a full-time impressionist artist and recently participated in the Plein Air Roanoke 2021 event.
