Laura Park

As a child, Laura’s favorite memories took place in her grandmother’s studio in Lexington, NC, where her passion for art was born. She loved going with her grandmother to fabric stores where Laura would collect brightly colored scraps from the floor to take home to piece together for patchwork quilts. 

Seven years ago she created Laura Park Interiors at Cotswold Marketplace in Charlotte, where she sold her paintings and interior decor. Eventually her paintings evolved into a line of textilesand in 2016 Laura Park Designs was born. In addition to pillows and fabric, Laura Park Designs provides wall coverings, home décor, and personal accessories.

Her abstracts are spontaneous and intuitive. Inspired by colors in nature, textiles and design, she paints with a variety of mediums including acrylics, guache, pastels and oil crayon. Laura’s paintings are full of vibrant color and brushwork, with an engaging energy that makes the eye dance around her canvases.

Laura lives in Charlotte with her artist husband, Trip, as well as her four children and three dogs.
