Katherie Bleser, an Atlanta based artist, combines her avid love of gardening with extensive travel to view the lush gardens of Europe and America. She is especially intrigued by the artificial beauty of the formal English gardens and their contrast to the surrounding English countryside.

She specializes in landscapes with an unusual point of view and dramatic close-ups of flowers in the gardens. Her paintings are made even more dramatic by her creative use of light and shadow, vivid color, perspective and composition. Kathy paints in oils overlaid with many layers of lacquer to give her work the old-school quality. She is in many private and public collections as well as in the permanent collection of The Telfair Museum in Savannah.
